Work Environment\n

This position offers a remote work setting, allowing you to provide counseling services from the comfort of your home while still engaging closely with your colleagues. Our supportive remote environment emphasizes teamwork and collaboration, using modern telehealth technologies to connect with patients and fellow professionals effectively. Our standard work hours are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility required to meet the diverse needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to gain a comprehensive understanding of each patient’s trauma history and current mental health status.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience, and overall mental health improvement.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to aid patients in processing their experiences.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients express their emotions, develop effective coping strategies, and foster personal growth.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated care, ensuring a comprehensive treatment approach.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies, helping clients navigate acute distress.
\n
• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses and coping mechanisms, empowering them with the knowledge needed for effective recovery.

• Maintain detailed and confidential patient records in compliance with ethical standards and legal requirements.

• Participate in continuous professional development activities, case consultations, and team meetings, focusing on trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay informed of the latest research and methodologies in the field of trauma therapy to enhance patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The licensed mental health therapist will primarily work with individuals who have experienced various types of trauma, including but not limited to personal loss, abuse, and severe life changes. By understanding and addressing the unique needs of trauma survivors, our therapists play a critical role in providing healing pathways, and improving overall mental health outcomes for these clients.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in Texas.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health counseling or therapeutic setting.

• Proficient knowledge of trauma-related disorders, treatment strategies, and resilience-building techniques.

• Excellent interpersonal skills with a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to clients and their families.

• Ability to remain composed and effective in challenging situations while delivering care.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and related computer applications.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
