Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' backgrounds and specific trauma histories.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that are focused on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and overall mental well-being.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate effective healing for patients.

• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions, helping patients gain coping strategies and process their traumatic experiences in a supportive environment.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other health professionals to ensure integrated and comprehensive care, tailoring approaches based on patient needs.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during emergencies that arise from trauma-related issues.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and effective coping mechanisms, increasing their understanding and resilience.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation compliant with relevant legal and ethical standards to facilitate seamless care continuity.

• Engage in professional development activities, staying current with research, best practices, and advancements in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work primarily with individuals impacted by various forms of trauma, including but not limited to childhood abuse, domestic violence, and combat experience. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Must possess current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.

• At least two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, providing a foundation in trauma-informed care.

Compensation and Benefits\n
