Key Responsibilities\n

As a Senior Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive mental health evaluations and crisis interventions, ensuring timely and appropriate care for patients.

• Implementing individualized treatment plans based on assessments, guiding patients through therapeutic interventions.
\n
• Collaborating with the Department of Correction to facilitate patient access, including coordinating appropriate housing and treatment options.
\n
• Documenting all sessions, treatment plans, and intervention outcomes systematically and accurately in compliance with organizational standards.
\n
• Leading group therapy sessions for inmates with varying mental health needs, focusing on enhancing coping strategies and social skills.
\n
• Participating actively in clinical supervision, case conferences, and treatment planning meetings to ensure collaborative and comprehensive patient care.
\n
• Engaging in mental health and medical rounds as required to assess patient health status and treatment effectiveness.
\n
• Supervising the work of social work interns and volunteers to foster their professional development and enhance service delivery.
\n
• Recognizing the need to conduct psychological testing when appropriate, aligning with best practices for patient assessment.

• Performing additional duties as assigned by the Unit Chief or Clinical Supervisor to support clinic operations and patient care initiatives.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily focus on providing mental health services to incarcerated individuals who may present with a wide array of challenges, including behavioral issues, substance use disorders, and severe mental illness. Your expertise will ensure that these individuals receive the care they need, fostering their rehabilitation and well-being.

Qualifications\n

To qualify for this role, candidates must possess the following:

• A valid state license as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A Master's degree or Doctorate in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
\n
• A minimum of five years of full-time, paid, professional experience providing direct client care in a behavioral health setting.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, preference will be given to candidates with:

Compensation and Benefits\n
