Work Environment\n

The position is designed to be remote, allowing flexibility in your working hours. However, you will also work closely within our outpatient office setting. Our structure promotes a collaborative approach to mental health care, and you will regularly engage with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals to ensure holistic treatment for our patients. The typical work schedule is from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility based on patient needs and therapy sessions.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify the specific needs of each patient, followed by crafting personalized treatment plans that are tailored to individual goals.

• Implement and deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions utilizing frameworks such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy, adapting techniques to suit each patient’s unique circumstances.

• Facilitate psychoeducational and support groups that encourage communication and connection among individuals dealing with similar issues, designing sessions that promote coping strategies and peer support.

• Work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and other counselors, to ensure integrated care and consistent treatment approaches.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention support for patients experiencing acute mental health emergencies, employing de-escalation and problem-solving strategies to ensure their safety and well-being.

• Educate patients about their mental health conditions, treatment options, and local community resources, empowering them to take an active role in their recovery journey.

• Maintain precise and confidential documentation of patient interactions and treatment progress, adhering to legal and ethical guidelines in the mental health sector.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a mental health therapist at Hope Care and Counseling Center, you will work with a diverse patient population, including adolescents, adults, and families. Patients present with a variety of mental health issues ranging from common conditions like anxiety and depression to more complex disorders requiring specialized interventions. Your role focuses on delivering care that is not only clinically sound but also culturally sensitive and responsive to the individual life experiences of our clients.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or closely related fields is required. Advanced degrees (Master's or Doctorate) are preferred.

• A current and valid license as an LCSW, LCSW-R, LMHC, or LMFT in New York State is essential.

• In-depth knowledge of mental health disorders and evidence-based therapeutic modalities with practical experience in clinical environments is required.

Compensation and Benefits\n
