Key Responsibilities

In your role as a Senior Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments of patients' physical capabilities, medical history, and rehabilitation needs.
• Designing tailored physical therapy programs that align with patients' specific goals, ensuring a holistic approach to rehabilitation.
• Implementing evidence-based interventions, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities such as ultrasound or electrical stimulation.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working primarily with adult patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and various musculoskeletal disorders. Your focus will also extend to geriatric patients, helping them regain mobility and independence following traumatic events or chronic conditions. By utilizing advanced assessment tools and treatment methodologies, you will ensure each patient receives customized care that addresses their unique needs and promotes optimal recovery.

Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you are expected to possess:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• A valid state license as a Physical Therapist.
• A minimum of 2 years of outpatient orthopedic physical therapy experience, demonstrating a solid foundation in clinical practice.
• Exceptional manual therapy skills and proficiency in soft tissue mobilization techniques.
• Strong critical thinking and assessment capabilities to operate effectively in a Direct Access setting.

Preferred Experience

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT).
