Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations remotely, beginning with preliminary interviews to assess clients’ emotional, behavioral, and psychological states.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to meet the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups, ensuring that interventions are evidence-based and goal-oriented.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing various therapeutic modalities to address issues such as anxiety, depression, and trauma recovery.

• Monitor and document client progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans as needed to reflect changes in client needs or treatment effectiveness.

• Collaborate closely with other mental health specialists, including psychiatrists, social workers, and primary care providers, to coordinate holistic client care and referrals.

• Identify potential obstacles to recovery and proactively develop strategies to mitigate these challenges, ensuring a supportive environment for healing.

• Provide guidance and resources to family members and primary caregivers to assist them in understanding and managing mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse range of clients, including individuals experiencing various mental health disorders, couples facing relational challenges, and families navigating complex emotional dynamics. Our clients often come from different backgrounds and socio-economic conditions, which requires cultural competency and sensitivity to effectively meet their needs. By utilizing telehealth methodologies, you will help remove barriers to care, particularly for those in underserved communities.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Possession of current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey is mandatory.

• A successful score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE) is necessary.

• Prior experience as a mental health counselor, particularly in a telehealth setting, is strongly preferred.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, especially AVATAR, is advantageous for maintaining accurate client documentation.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with clients who have co-occurring disorders or addiction issues is highly beneficial.

• A deep understanding of the effects and management of medications prescribed by medical specialists will enhance treatment efficacy.

• Knowledge of best practices in accordance with the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) standards is preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, while exhibiting exceptional interpersonal skills.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive annual salary in the range of USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
