Typical work hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts based on patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, holistic mental health assessments of elderly patients, integrating cognitive, physical, and social considerations that can affect their mental health.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on comprehensive assessments, ensuring that each plan is tailored specifically to address the unique circumstances of each patient.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, prominently featuring individual and family therapy, while strictly adhering to ethical standards and software documentation processes within electronic health records (EHR).

• Engage collaboratively with geriatric psychiatrists and allied health professionals to deliver integrated care that embraces a multidisciplinary approach.

• Provide crisis intervention services and develop immediate, sustainable support plans for patients experiencing acute mental health crises.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, therapeutic options and community resources, fostering a supportive network for recovery.

• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in documentation as aligned with legal and ethical guidelines, ensuring all patient interactions are properly recorded.

• Actively participate in ongoing professional development through team meetings and case consultations while staying informed about advancements in geriatric psychiatry.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be the geriatric demographic, addressing diverse mental health issues prevalent in this age group. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid and current licensure in the state of California as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred for this role, equipping you with the necessary skill set to thrive in a geriatric-focused practice.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is competitive, between USD 75,000 and 100,000 yearly, based on experience and qualifications.
