Work Environment\n

This role is set within a fully remote telehealth facility, allowing you to provide services to clients from the comfort of your own home. The position involves a standard work schedule from Monday to Friday, with operating hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The flexibility to accommodate occasional evening shifts or alterations in your schedule may be necessary to meet the needs of patients appropriately.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Perform comprehensive mental health assessments to evaluate the psychological well-being of patients.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans based on patients' specific needs and diagnoses.

• Employ evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including but not limited to cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and psychodynamic therapy.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions aimed at addressing emotional challenges and promoting personal growth.
\n
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care that holistically addresses patient needs.

• Participate in crisis interventions, offering immediate support during mental health emergencies.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about mental health issues, available treatment options, and community resources.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation that aligns with all legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in case conferences and team meetings to foster collaborative care and share insights for professional development.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The Mental Health Counselor will work closely with individuals confronting a variety of mental health conditions, including anxiety, mood disorders, trauma-related issues, and more. Our clients come from diverse backgrounds and may present with unique behavioral, psychological, and emotional concerns. Qualifications\n

• A valid license as an LCSW, LCPC, or LCMFT in the state of Kansas.

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required; a Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology is preferred.

• A strong theoretical knowledge of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment approaches.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to build rapport and trust with clients.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and related technology.

• Strong crisis intervention skills and capacity to maintain composure in high-stress situations.

• An appreciation for teamwork, working cooperatively with a multidisciplinary team while adhering to professional practices.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling.

Compensation and Benefits\n
