Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations through initial consultations, accurately documenting client histories and presenting concerns.

• Develop tailored intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups, ensuring that the plans align with desired treatment outcomes.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices to engage clients and promote their mental health recovery.
\n
• Regularly monitor client progress, adapting treatment plans as necessary to align with evolving needs and goals.
\n
• Collaborate with other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists and medical doctors, to ensure comprehensive patient care.

• Conduct follow-ups with primary care specialists for clients transitioning back from inpatient care, ensuring continuity of care.

• Identify and address potential barriers to recovery, providing proactive strategies to support clients in overcoming challenges.

• Support families and caregivers in understanding and managing mental health issues, equipping them with tools and resources to aid their loved ones.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clients encompass a wide range of individuals facing various mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety, PTSD, and behavioral disorders. You will engage with clients across different life stages and backgrounds, tailoring your therapeutic approach to meet their unique needs. Qualifications\n

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Texas.

• Evidence of passing scores on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, essential for effective client engagement and documentation.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience working as a mental health counselor, particularly in outpatient settings.

• Experience with electronic health record systems such as AVATAR to manage client information and treatment documentation.

• Knowledge of addiction disorders and co-occurring physical and emotional health conditions.

• Familiarity with best practices as recommended by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• In-depth understanding of pharmacological interventions and their psychological effects.
