Key Responsibilities\n

• Group Therapy Facilitation: Lead engaging group sessions that encourage participants to share their experiences and foster mutual support. You will implement evidence-based techniques to enhance group dynamics and encourage open dialogue.

• Individual Counseling: Provide one-on-one mental health counseling tailored to each client’s unique issues. Employ therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to facilitate personal exploration and actionable strategies for improvement.

• Treatment Planning: Collaborate with clients to develop individualized treatment plans that reflect their specific mental health goals and preferences. You will ensure these plans are regularly updated to adapt to clients’ evolving needs.

• Progress Monitoring: Utilize assessment tools and client feedback to track progress over time, making adjustments to the treatment plan as necessary to maximize effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Summit Counseling Center, you will primarily work with young adults grappling with various mental health challenges, including mood disorders, anxiety, depression, and stress management issues. Your focus will be on building rapport and trust with this client group, allowing you to facilitate meaningful therapeutic intervention that encourages healing and personal growth.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in a relevant field, such as counseling, psychology, social work, or marriage/family therapy is required.

• Licensure: Must hold an active Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license.

• Relevant Experience: Proven experience in mental health treatment, particularly with young adults in residential or outpatient settings.
