Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations, initiating crisis interventions as necessary, and providing evidence-based assessments tailored to individual client needs.

• Collaborate with correctional facility staff to determine appropriate dispositions for patients, ensuring that individuals receive optimal levels of mental health care.

• Complete required documentation and statistical reports as mandated to track patient outcomes and organizational effectiveness.

• Facilitate group therapy sessions on mental health observation units, addressing a variety of topics relevant to patient needs and therapeutic goals.

• Engage in weekly clinical supervision with a Clinical Supervisor, ensuring continuous professional development and adherence to best practices.
\n
• Participate in case conferences and treatment planning sessions to evaluate ongoing patient care, fostering a multidisciplinary approach to therapy.
\n
• May conduct psychological testing and assessments as assigned, contributing to a comprehensive understanding of each patient's mental health status.

• Supervise social work interns or student volunteers as part of our commitment to community education and staff development.
\n
• Additional duties as assigned by supervisory personnel, contributing to the flow and efficiency of clinic operations.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary population served includes incarcerated individuals in addition to community members dealing with a range of behavioral health issues, substance use disorders, and severe mental health conditions. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Sabella Psychiatric Center, you will be pivotal in working with these diverse groups, tailoring therapeutic strategies to meet the unique needs of each client while fostering a supportive and nurturing environment.

Qualifications\n

• A valid professional license as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Washington.

• A Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field; a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling or a comparable discipline is strongly preferred.

• At least five years of full-time, paid professional experience providing direct patient care within a behavioral health setting.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in both assessment and treatment of individuals presenting with behavioral problems, severe mental illness, and substance use histories is highly desirable.

• Applicants with previous inpatient or related clinical experience will be prioritized during the selection process.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Sabella Psychiatric Center offers a competitive salary range of USD 115,000 – 130,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
