Brooklyn Urgent Care is seeking a dedicated and experienced Physician Assistant to join our team at our state-of-the-art Surgical Center located in Nyack, New York. This is a full-time position that offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $400,000 to $500,000, based on experience and qualifications.

Work Environment

As a Physician Assistant at our Surgical Center, you will work onsite within a dynamic and supportive team of healthcare providers. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations and treatment plans for patients presenting with urgent medical conditions, using advanced diagnostic skills.
• Coordinate discharge planning in collaboration with case management to ensure a seamless transition for patients moving from inpatient to outpatient care.
• Play an integral role in improving quality of care initiatives and cost-effectiveness, actively participating in the development and implementation of new protocols.
• Accept referrals from other physicians and serve as a consulting physician for those needing hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses.
• Document all patient interactions clearly and accurately in accordance with insurance requirements, and appeal denials efficiently.
• Actively participate in inpatient and outpatient consultations for specialty services, which may include being part of an on-call rotation.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population is diverse, including adults and pediatric patients, all requiring prompt and comprehensive care. As a Physician Assistant, you will be at the forefront of addressing the urgent health needs of individuals in the Nyack community, ensuring that each patient receives personalized attention and follow-up care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• A valid Physician Assistant license (PA-C) in the state of New York.
• A minimum of one year of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant.
• Exceptional communication and organizational competence.
• A strong work ethic coupled with a commitment to teamwork and performance within a healthcare system.
• DEA number is required for prescribing medications.

Preferred Experience

• A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies is preferred to enhance clinical knowledge and application.
• Previous experience in urgent care settings or surgical centers will be highly regarded.
• Bilingual skills are a plus, providing the ability to communicate with a broader range of patients.

Compensation and Benefits
