Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough patient assessments to determine pain management needs, including history taking and physical examinations.
• Formulate effective treatment plans in concert with supervising physicians, utilizing a variety of pain management techniques including medication management, therapy referrals, and interventional procedures.
• Engage in follow-up care, ensuring patients understand their treatment plans, adjusting therapies as necessary based on responses to treatment.
• Assist in surgical procedures related to pain management, demonstrating competence in performing protocols such as injections and other minimally invasive techniques.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and enhancing the continuity of care for patients.
• Educate patients and their families about pain management options, preventive care, and lifestyle adjustments aimed at improving their overall wellbeing.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily caters to a diverse patient population suffering from various types of chronic and acute pain conditions. Our patients range from those with musculoskeletal disorders to post-operative pain management cases. You will be instrumental in addressing both the physical and emotional aspects of pain, ensuring that each individual receives tailored care and support.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current state licensure and certification as a Physician Assistant.
• At least two (2) years of clinical experience, preferably in pain management or related specialties.
• Strong diagnostic skills and experience with a variety of assessment tools relevant to pain management.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster an empathic relationship with patients and collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in pain management, orthopedics, or neurology is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems to streamline documentation and patient care processes.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment while maintaining a focus on patient-centric care outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits

The total compensation package for this full-time position ranges from USD 150,000 to 180,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus opportunities for bonuses based on performance metrics.
