Work Environment

This position is based onsite in a bustling hospital environment in Orangeburg, New York. As part of our healthcare team, you will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care. Operating in a dynamic and fast-paced setting, your typical schedule will be Monday through Friday, consisting of 40 hours per week with a 5:00 PM shift start time. Our hospital is equipped with advanced medical technology and resources, enabling you to provide the best possible care to our diverse patient population.

Key Responsibilities

Your daily tasks will be varied and rewarding, including but not limited to the following:

• Conducting thorough physical examinations and reviewing patients’ medical histories to inform effective treatment decisions.
• Ordering, analyzing, and interpreting diagnostic tests such as blood work and imaging studies to develop accurate diagnoses.
• Diagnosing and managing common health issues within the family medicine scope, systematically addressing acute and chronic conditions.
• Formulating individualized treatment plans for patients, especially addressing chronic diseases and infectious conditions.
• Prescribing appropriate medications while continuously monitoring patients for therapeutic effectiveness and side effects.
• Maintaining meticulous patient records and schedules, ensuring organization and accuracy in documentations.
• Providing education on disease prevention and health promotion, working directly with patients and their families to enhance understanding of health conditions.
• Encouraging lifestyle changes and preventive strategies that promote overall health and wellness.
• Participating in daily rounds, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care strategies are in place.

Qualifications

• A minimum of two years’ experience as a PA, ideally in a family health or similar clinical setting.

Compensation and Benefits
