Work Environment

The role of Physician Assistant is primarily onsite at our hospital facility in Nyack, New York. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and treatment plans for patients presenting with acute conditions or injuries, utilizing advanced diagnostic and therapeutic skills.
• Coordinate effective discharge planning, collaborating closely with case management to ensure continuity of care and patient satisfaction.
• Engage in interdisciplinary discussions to develop and implement strategies aimed at improving cost-effectiveness and enhancing the quality of care provided.
• Manage patient referrals from other physicians, and serve as a consulting physician for individuals requiring hospitalization due to primary medical diagnoses.
• Complete detailed documentation to meet insurance requirements and actively participate in the appeals process for denied claims.
• Participate in inpatient and outpatient consultations, which may include occasional on-call responsibilities, to ensure patients receive expert specialty care as needed.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will serve a diverse patient population, ranging from pediatric to geriatric patients, who require immediate medical attention for various urgent conditions. Your ability to respond to the varied needs of our patients, along with a commitment to compassionate care, will be crucial in enhancing patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, with a Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies preferred.
• Valid Physician Assistant license (PA-C) in the state of New York, with a current DEA number.
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience, preferably within an urgent care or emergency medicine setting.
• Exceptional communication abilities, with strong organizational and time management skills.
• A demonstrated work ethic and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, performance-driven environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in urgent care or emergency medicine is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a highly competitive annual salary ranging from $400,000 to $500,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a robust salary, we provide:
