Work Environment

This full-time position requires on-site engagement, providing you with the opportunity to work directly with patients in a hospital setting. With a structured schedule of 40 hours per week, from Monday to Friday, you will benefit from a supportive team atmosphere while contributing to patient-centered care. Key Responsibilities

As a Physician Assistant at Dignity Medical Center, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough physical examinations and assessments of patients with various health conditions.
• Reviewing and interpreting lab results and diagnostic tests such as blood tests and X-rays to inform clinical decisions.
• Diagnosing acute and chronic illnesses while developing tailored treatment plans for patients.
• Administering prescriptions and ongoing management of medications, ensuring all treatments align with best practices.
• Maintaining accurate patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations, while efficiently managing schedules.
• Informing and educating patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, and preventive practices.
• Participating in health promotion initiatives and community outreach programs to educate on disease prevention.
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of clinical practices through research and participation in professional development activities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work closely with a diverse patient population, from children to seniors, all presenting varying health needs. This role will require a nuanced understanding of chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and respiratory diseases, enabling you to effectively support patients and their families in managing their health challenges.

Qualifications

To qualify for this role, candidates must hold the following credentials:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a related field.
• A valid California State Physician Assistant license and current PA-C designation.
• A DEA number for prescribing medications.
• At least 2 years of experience as a Physician Assistant, preferably in primary care or related specialties.
• Strong ethics and a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate effective interactions with patients and team members.

Preferred Experience

Experience in acute care, internal medicine, cardiology, family health, urgent care, or emergency departments is highly regarded. Additionally, bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply as language skills can enhance patient interaction and care.

Compensation and Benefits
