Pain Management Physician Assistant - Full-Time Onsite Position

Work Environment

This position is set in an onsite surgical center designed to provide comprehensive pain management services. Operating hours are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a structured yet flexible work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physician Assistant in the pain management department, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments of patients to evaluate their pain levels, medical history, and treatment goals.
• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans that may include physical therapy recommendations and non-narcotic medication prescriptions.
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic imaging tests to aid in the accurate diagnosis of pain-related conditions.
• Maintaining up-to-date patient records and documentation to ensure compliance with medical regulations and to track treatment efficacy.
• Addressing patient inquiries and concerns while ensuring they fully understand their treatment options and involving them in care decisions.
• Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff to provide seamless care and support for patients undergoing pain management therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working primarily with adults suffering from acute and chronic pain conditions, including but not limited to, arthritis, neuropathy, and post-surgical pain. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the complexities of pain management and an empathetic approach to patient interactions, enabling them to effectively address the diverse needs of our patient population.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a related field, with an active state licensure as a Physician Assistant.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience working in a clinical setting, preferably in a pain management or related specialty.
• Proficiency in conducting comprehensive physical examinations, diagnosing common illnesses, and formulating effective treatment strategies.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex medical information clearly and compassionately to patients and their families.
• A strong ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a diverse healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, ideal candidates may also have experience in the following areas:

• Experience in interventional pain management techniques and procedures.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to streamline patient documentation and care coordination.
• Knowledge of the latest advancements in pain management therapies and modalities that enhance patient recovery.

Compensation and Benefits
