Position Overview

Community Care Physicians is actively seeking a full-time Physician Assistant specializing in Pain Management to join our dedicated healthcare team in Clifton Park, New York. This role will focus on providing quality, competent, and compassionate care to patients suffering from various pain conditions. As a Physician Assistant, you will enjoy a work schedule that promotes a work-life balance, with hours from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Work Environment

This Physician Assistant role will take place onsite at our hospital facility in Clifton Park. Key Responsibilities

As a Physician Assistant in our Pain Management department, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients, assessing their medical history and current conditions to diagnose specific pain-related issues.
• Ordering and interpreting imaging studies such as X-rays and MRIs, as well as recommending physical therapy options tailored to each patient's needs.
• Prescribing medications, focusing on non-narcotic options to promote safe and effective pain management strategies.
• Scheduling and performing interventional procedures that may involve injections or other therapeutic interventions aimed at alleviating symptoms.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient charts, documenting patient progress and treatment plans clearly for continuity of care.
• Actively collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care that addresses patients’ concerns holistically.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily serve patients dealing with a variety of acute and chronic pain conditions. You will engage with individuals needing personalized pain management strategies, ensuring they receive empathetic care tailored to their unique circumstances. Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a related healthcare field.
• An active and unrestricted state licensure as a Physician Assistant in New York.
• Demonstrated proficiency in performing physical examinations and diagnosing illnesses relevant to pain management.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster good relationships with patients and colleagues alike.
• The ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a commitment to outstanding patient care.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of three years of experience in a clinical setting, ideally within a pain management or related specialty.
• Experience working with various pain management techniques and modalities, including interventional procedures.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems to efficiently document patient information and treatment plans.

Compensation and Benefits
