Work Environment

This full-time position is based at our Surgical Center in Guilderland, where you will find a modern and well-equipped facility designed to support efficient patient care. Your standard working hours will be Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients by performing physical examinations and assessments.
• Order and interpret diagnostic imaging to assist in formulating effective treatment plans.
• Prescribe appropriate non-narcotic medications and develop individualized therapies that align with industry best practices.
• Schedule and assist patients with interventional procedures while ensuring they are well-informed and comfortable.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions in compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational standards.
• Address patient inquiries and concerns to provide clarity and reassurance, fostering a compassionate environment.
• Collaborate closely with physicians and other medical team members to enhance care coordination and streamline patient pathways.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve patients dealing with various pain-related conditions, including acute and chronic pain syndromes. This role requires a nuanced understanding of pain management principles to engage with diverse patient backgrounds and treatment expectations. You will be an integral part of their recovery journey, creating tailored plans that reflect their needs.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a related field, with a preference for candidates holding a Master’s degree.
• An active state license to practice as a Physician Assistant in New York.
• Strong proficiency in performing physical assessments and diagnosing pain-related conditions.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and healthcare colleagues.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Physician Assistant in a clinical setting, preferably within pain management or a related specialty.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems to facilitate smooth documentation processes.
• A proven track record of working independently while also thriving within a team-based care model.

Compensation and Benefits
