$90k - $100k

Bright Tomorrows Child Advocacy Center

Job Description

Position Overview\n

Bright Tomorrows Child Advocacy Center is seeking a dedicated and licensed professional counselor to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will leverage your expertise to provide vital therapeutic support to a diverse clientele comprising adults, children, and families. You will be instrumental in fostering mental well-being and enhancing the quality of life for those we serve, all while working in a supportive, growth-oriented environment.

About the Organization\n

At Bright Tomorrows Child Advocacy Center located in Scranton, Pennsylvania, we are committed to delivering comprehensive mental health services. Our organization prioritizes the highest standards of care, ensuring that we empower individuals and families through accessible and effective therapy. We believe in treating our clients in the least restrictive settings possible, allowing them to thrive within their communities. Our mission is rooted in kindness and compassion, and we are passionate about advocating for the mental health needs of our community.

Work Environment\n

This position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting while engaging daily with a team of skilled professionals at our outpatient office. Our work schedule is Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, promoting a healthy work-life balance. Bright Tomorrows embraces a clinician-led leadership model, creating an environment where your voice matters and your contributions are recognized. Employees enjoy guaranteed rates, meaning you are compensated ahead of collections, alleviating the financial stress associated with client billings.

Key Responsibilities\n
    \n
  • Manage a personalized caseload of clients, cultivating a trusting, therapeutic relationship while upholding the highest professional ethics and boundaries.
  • \n
  • Conduct regular sessions to assess client progress, discuss concerns, and plan for appropriate discharges when circumstances allow.
  • \n
  • Create, implement, and continually assess individualized treatment plans focused on meeting the unique needs of each client.
  • \n
  • Document progress notes and treatment updates meticulously to ensure compliance with regulations and to support ongoing care.
  • \n
  • Execute comprehensive intake assessments to determine client needs and alignment with available services.
  • \n
  • Conduct one-on-one therapy sessions tailored to the needs of individuals and families.
  • \n
  • Participate in regular individual supervision sessions, engaging in feedback and strategies to enhance clinical practices.
  • \n
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, facilitating integrated care by communicating with nurses, support staff, and other healthcare providers.
  • \n
  • Incorporate a growth mindset, which allows for personal and professional enhancement in therapeutic techniques and understanding.
  • \n
Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on an outpatient population, including diverse age groups ranging from children to senior adults. This role is critical in addressing various mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and family dynamics. Your contributions will directly influence the well-being of clients as you foster resilience and coping strategies tailored to their unique situations.

Qualifications\n
    \n
  • A Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field is required.
  • \n
  • Must possess an unrestricted, current, and active Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) credential.
  • \n
  • At least 2 years of post-graduate clinical experience in an outpatient setting is necessary for this role.
  • \n
  • Proficient in technology, with experience navigating electronic health record systems and telehealth platforms.
  • \n
  • Demonstrable skills in providing direct psychotherapy services to a variety of populations.
  • \n
  • Comfortable executing intake assessments with sensitivity and thoroughness.
  • \n
Preferred Experience\n
    \n
  • Experience working within a multidisciplinary team is advantageous, allowing for a holistic approach to client care.
  • \n
  • Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities and techniques is highly encouraged.
  • \n
  • Previous experience in community services or advocacy roles will enhance your ability to relate to client needs.
  • \n
Compensation and Benefits\n

This role offers an attractive salary range between $90,000 to $100,000 annually, as well as additional incentive opportunities such as bonuses. Our payment model is Fee-for-Service, providing reliable income without the stress of delayed reimbursements. We offer comprehensive health coverage including medical, vision, and dental insurance with supplemental options, along with a 401k retirement plan supported by company contributions. Additionally, malpractice insurance is provided to all clinicians, and there is an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) available for your well-being.

Career Growth Opportunities\n

Bright Tomorrows Child Advocacy Center is committed to the professional development of its staff. In-house training and cross-disciplinary workshops will empower you to enhance your clinical skills and advance your career. Leadership pathways are available for those interested in taking on more significant roles within the organization, ensuring that your career trajectory aligns with your aspirations.

Why Join Our Team\n

By becoming part of Bright Tomorrows, you are not just taking on a job; you are joining a mission-driven organization passionate about making a real difference in the lives of those we serve. Our values are centered around respect, integrity, and empathy, which guide our practice. We strive to create a collaborative culture where feedback is welcomed, and professional growth is a shared goal. Together, we can build brighter tomorrows for countless individuals and families.
