Position Overview

The Gutierrez Oncology & Internal Medicine Center is looking for a dedicated full-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) specializing in Cardiology to join our team based in Ossining, New York. This role is integral to our outpatient practice within the Center for Advanced Cardiac Care (CACC), where you will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team focused on providing exceptional cardiovascular care.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cardiologists and healthcare professionals to assess, diagnose, and manage patients with complex cardiovascular conditions.
• Conduct thorough patient histories and physical examinations, preparing detailed assessments that inform treatment plans.
• Manage chronic conditions such as Hypertension and High Cholesterol, adjusting medication dosages and regimens as necessary.
• Provide outpatient Electrophysiology services aimed at diagnosing and treating arrhythmias, including interpreting abnormal electrocardiograms.
• Address acute conditions like Coronary Artery Disease, Peripheral Artery Disease, Congestive Heart Failure, and more, implementing interventions to manage critical symptoms.
• Perform and interpret Stress Testing as part of the routine assessment for cardiac patients.
• Utilize consultative support from on-site Cardiologists to optimize patient care and decision-making.
• Prescribe medications and treatments as needed, following evidence-based guidelines and protocols.
• Facilitate referrals to specialized care within the organization as indicated.
• Educate patients and their families regarding cardiac health, management plans, and lifestyle modifications to promote heart health.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work primarily with a diverse patient population experiencing a range of cardiovascular issues. Your efforts will directly contribute to improving the health outcomes of individuals affected by heart disease and related conditions, ensuring they receive timely and effective management tailored to their unique needs.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with certification relevant to cardiology.
• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing or a closely related field.
• Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of New York.
• Demonstrated understanding and proficiency in outpatient cardiology practices.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in a cardiology setting, whether in an inpatient or outpatient capacity, is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with cardiac care technologies and treatment protocols.

Compensation and Benefits
