Key Responsibilities

As a Nurse Practitioner specializing in Internal Medicine, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough health assessments by performing comprehensive health histories and physical examinations, documenting findings accurately to ensure continuity of care.
• Diagnosing and managing a wide range of acute and chronic health conditions, effectively monitoring ongoing patient health status and adjusting treatment plans accordingly.
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests such as lab work and imaging studies, translating results into actionable insights for patient care.
• Prescribing necessary medications and non-pharmacologic interventions, while developing individualized treatment plans that align with patient goals.
• Educating patients and their families on health promotion, disease prevention, and management strategies, fostering a proactive approach to wellness.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Master’s degree in Nursing as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse and Nurse Practitioner in New York State.
• Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
• BCLS and ACLS certifications to provide emergency care when necessary.
• Strong clinical, interpersonal, and communication abilities, essential for building rapport with patients and colleagues alike.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
