Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive diagnosis and management of both acute and chronic medical conditions, ensuring a holistic approach to monitoring patient health statuses.
• Conduct thorough health histories and perform detailed physical examinations, accurately documenting and analyzing findings to refine patient care strategies.
• Order and interpret various diagnostic studies, including laboratory tests and imaging, to inform clinical decisions and enhance treatment efficiency.
• Prescribe both pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions, creating tailored treatment plans to meet individual patient needs.
• Set measurable patient outcomes and goals, regularly evaluating the effectiveness of treatment plans, and making adjustments as necessary to improve care.
• Provide patient education, promoting health maintenance and wellness, along with offering anticipatory guidance to empower patients and their families.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily focus on adult patients facing a variety of internal medicine conditions. You will work with individuals experiencing complex health issues, requiring comprehensive assessments and collaborative management strategies. Your work will significantly impact patients' lives, as you guide them through their healthcare journeys and support them in achieving their health-related goals.

Qualifications

• A Master’s Degree in Nursing as a Nurse Practitioner is required, along with active New York State Registered Professional Nurse and Nurse Practitioner licenses.
• Candidates must possess NP Board Certification and certifications in Basic Life Support (BCLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• Excellent clinical, interpersonal, and communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for success in this role.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 3 years of advanced practice experience in an internal medicine setting is preferred, demonstrating a strong foundation in managing diverse patient populations.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is between USD 150,000 and 160,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
