Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews and assessments for new clients, documenting their mental health status from the initial consultation through the completion of treatment.

• Evaluate and interpret clients' emotional, behavioral, and psychological needs to inform treatment approaches.
\n
• Design and implement effective intervention plans tailored for individuals, couples, families, and group therapy settings.
\n
• Facilitate engaging and supportive individual and group therapy sessions, ensuring a safe space for clients to share and work through their challenges.
\n
• Continuously monitor and document clients’ progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary, striving for optimal outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and medical staff, to coordinate comprehensive care strategies.

• Provide timely follow-ups with clients and healthcare providers, particularly for individuals requiring hospitalization, to ensure continuity of care.

• Identify potential obstacles to recovery and develop strategies to mitigate behaviors that hinder progress.

• Support family members and caregivers by providing resources and training to help them manage their loved ones’ mental health challenges.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California is essential.
\n
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or National Clinical Mental Health Counselor Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• A strong background in mental health counseling with proof of previous experience in a similar role.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR or similar platforms.
\n
• Knowledge of addiction disorders and dual diagnoses, along with the ability to address related physical and emotional health issues.
\n
• Strong familiarity with best practices as recommended by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, along with outstanding interpersonal abilities.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working in a telehealth setting is highly desirable, as it demonstrates adaptability to remote delivery of mental health services.

• In-depth understanding of psychotropic medications and their effects, contributing to a well-rounded approach to client care.

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a psychiatric or multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Compensation and Benefits\n
