Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive women's health assessments, including detailed medical history evaluations, physical examinations, and necessary screenings.
• Diagnose and manage prevalent women's health concerns such as reproductive health issues, gynecological infections, menstrual disorders, and menopausal symptoms.
• Deliver family planning services, offering contraceptive counseling, prescribing methods, and educational resources about reproductive health.
• Conduct routine gynecological exams, including Pap smears and breast examinations, ensuring expedient and proper follow-up care.
• Manage prenatal care by enhancing patient education on pregnancy, conducting regular visits, and tracking fetal developmental milestones.
• Work collaboratively with fellow healthcare providers to create individualized care plans for pregnant patients, ensuring a comprehensive approach to their health.
• Offer patient education covering sexual and reproductive health topics, such as STD prevention, fertility awareness, and preconception care.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests like ultrasounds and laboratory work; adapt treatment protocols based on findings.
• Prescribe appropriate medications, arranging follow-up assessments to monitor treatment efficacy and address any side effects.
• Document patient interactions accurately using our electronic health record (EHR) systems to maintain compliance and optimal patient tracking.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care and improving overall health outcomes.
• Commit to ongoing professional development by keeping abreast of the latest advancements in women's health through various educational activities.

This role primarily focuses on providing care to women of all ages, from adolescence through menopause and beyond. Our patient demographic is diverse, with varying health concerns and needs. As a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner, your approach will cater to individual circumstances, allowing you to deliver personalized care and maintain a continuous patient-provider relationship.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Nursing with a specialization in Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner is required.
• Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Texas is mandatory.
• Board certification as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner is essential.
• Demonstrated clinical experience in women’s health, preferably in a primary care or OB/GYN setting.
• Strong understanding of women’s health issues, capable of addressing diverse gynecological and reproductive challenges.
• Proficiency in conducting gynecological exams, Pap smears, and other essential screenings.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for the Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner position ranges from USD 120,000 to USD 220,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
