Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct culturally sensitive and strengths-based assessments to understand the needs of new patients and their families, utilizing a compassionate and individualized approach.

• Deliver individual and family therapy based on evidence-based practices, customizing approaches to meet the unique needs of each client.
\n
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation, including patient billing, insurance authorization forms, and individualized treatment plans, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Develop crisis intervention plans, safety strategies, relapse prevention plans, and wellness plans that support clients in maintaining stable functioning.
\n
• Create discharge plans that effectively transition clients out of therapy, equipping them with the tools needed for continued success.
\n
• Adhere to all applicable federal and state laws, regulatory requirements, and Emory Health policies while continuously working to enhance professional skills through training and ongoing education.

• Actively participate in case consultation and agency meetings, contributing valuable insights and collaborative strategies to improve client outcomes.
\n
• Complete all licensure and mandatory trainings to remain compliant and informed on best practices in mental health care.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a related field that qualifies for licensure.

• Current licensure as a mental health therapist in the State of Illinois (LCPC, LMFT, LCSW) is required.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to providing empathetic and effective care.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in a clinical setting, providing therapy or counseling services to individuals or families.

• Familiarity with the Medicaid and private insurance billing processes is a plus.
