Full-Time Licensed Physical Therapist in Orthopedic Outpatient Rehabilitation

We are seeking a dedicated and licensed Physical Therapist to join our team at Fairview East Healthcare and Behavioral Center, located in the vibrant city of San Francisco, California. This full-time position is essential in helping our patients recover their mobility and enhance their physical functions for a better quality of life. Our facility, featuring a cutting-edge 5,000 square feet sports medicine environment, offers the resources to provide high-quality physical therapy services primarily to patients with private medical insurance. Here, you will work alongside a team of two other licensed physical therapists and a physical therapist assistant (PTA), all driven by a shared goal of improving patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to identify patient mobility goals and rehabilitation requirements.
• Create individualized treatment plans that incorporate diverse therapeutic techniques to address unique patient needs.
• Implement evidence-based interventions to enhance functional mobility and overall physical well-being.
• Manage a defined caseload, typically treating one patient per hour, while ensuring quality care and attention to each individual.
• Monitor and assess treatment effectiveness regularly, adapting care plans based on patient progress and feedback.
• Document all patient interactions, treatments administered, and progress notes thoroughly to maintain compliance with healthcare standards.
• Encourage patients through motivational strategies to engage fully in their rehabilitation process and achieve their physical goals.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and ensure comprehensive treatment approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse group of patients suffering from orthopedic issues, all seeking recovery from various conditions affecting their mobility. Your interventions will be crucial in helping these individuals minimize pain, improve movement, and regain independence in their daily activities.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Required licensure as a Physical Therapist in California; no disciplinary actions or board sanctions on record.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercise development.
• Ability to utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems proficiently; experience with WebPT is advantageous.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working in an orthopedic outpatient environment is highly desired.
• Familiarity with contemporary treatment techniques and evidence-based practices.
• Experience in conducting fitness assessments and tailoring health plans to individual patient needs.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers an attractive annual salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
