Work Environment

You will work onsite at our advanced rehabilitation facility located in the vibrant city of San Francisco. Our facility is designed to enhance healing and recovery, equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and a welcoming atmosphere. You'll be part of a close-knit team consisting of two other physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA), all dedicated to maintaining an effective and enjoyable workplace.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and identify patients' needs, setting personalized therapy goals to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Manage a patient caseload with an emphasis on quality care, typically seeing one patient per hour.
• Develop and implement effective treatment plans using various therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy and exercise prescription.
• Utilize EMR systems like WebPT to record patient information and treatment progress accurately.
• Encourage patients to adopt a proactive approach to their rehabilitation while minimizing reliance on medications by promoting non-invasive alternatives.
• Educate patients on exercises and wellness strategies tailored to their unique health challenges, aimed at improving their strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure the highest level of care.
• Document and report on all treatment services provided to maintain consistent communication with healthcare team members and support comprehensive care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on orthopedic rehabilitation, serving a diverse population ranging from athletes recovering from sports injuries to older adults seeking to regain mobility after surgery or injury. Your role will be essential in crafting personalized interventions aimed at restoring functionality and enhancing each patient's quality of life.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program and current licensing as a Physical Therapist in California.
• No disciplinary actions against your professional license.
• Proficient manual therapy skills and experience in orthopedic outpatient settings are required.
• Strong ability to develop effective therapeutic exercise routines tailored to patients' individual needs.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, ensuring efficient documentation and patient tracking.

Preferred Experience

A minimum of three years of experience treating patients in an orthopedic outpatient environment is required. Candidates with advanced certifications in manual therapy or specialized training in orthopedic rehabilitation will be given preference. Experience working with a collaborative healthcare team is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 125,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
