Orthopedic Outpatient Physical Therapist - Full-Time Position

Baker's Field Therapy Services is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our team in San Francisco, California. This full-time role is centered on working directly with patients in an orthopedic outpatient setting, where you will play an essential part in restoring mobility and enhancing performance. By utilizing your expertise, you will work collaboratively with patients to help them overcome physical limitations and achieve their rehabilitation goals.

Our state-of-the-art facility spans 5,000 square feet and is equipped with the latest technology and treatment modalities tailored for sports medicine and orthopedic rehabilitation. Our small, focused team includes two seasoned physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant, all of whom share a passion for providing high-quality, evidence-based care to our patients.

Work Environment

The work setting is fully onsite at our modern rehabilitation center in the heart of San Francisco, California. Our facility is designed to create an inviting and therapeutic atmosphere that encourages healing and personal growth. You'll join a supportive team that values collaboration and continuous learning, ensuring a rich professional environment. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess individual patient needs and develop personalized treatment plans that promote recovery and address specific mobility issues.
• Provide hands-on therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy techniques, exercise prescription, and modalities aimed at improving motor function.
• Manage a patient caseload of one individual per hour, ensuring focused attention on each patient's unique conditions.
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress regularly, adjusting treatment strategies as needed to optimize recovery outcomes.
• Promote patient education and engagement by discussing lifestyle choices that enhance wellness, including exercises to improve strength, flexibility, and coordination.
• Document and maintain accurate records of patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress, utilizing EMR software such as WebPT.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care.
• Actively refer patients to other specialists when necessary to ensure a continuum of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily serve a diverse patient population with orthopedic needs, many of whom have private medical insurance. Our patients range from athletes seeking to recover and optimize their performance to individuals in need of rehabilitation following orthopedic surgeries or injuries. Your role will be crucial in guiding them through their recovery, minimizing reliance on medications and enhancing their physical capabilities.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) program from an accredited institution.
• Hold an active Physical Therapist license in California with no disciplinary actions on record.
• Exemplary skills in manual therapy techniques and proven competency in developing and implementing exercise programs.
• Familiarity with EMR Software, specifically WebPT, is preferred but not required.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• Experience in treating a variety of musculoskeletal disorders and post-surgical rehabilitation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients and collaborate with the healthcare team.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this full-time position ranges from USD 100,000 to 125,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
