Vitality Empower Physical Therapy is excited to announce an opening for a dedicated full-time Outpatient Orthopedic Physical Therapist (PT) to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in guiding patients through their rehabilitation journey, helping them regain mobility and achieve optimal functionality. Located in the heart of Oakland, California, Vitality Empower Physical Therapy offers a comprehensive rehabilitation experience in our state-of-the-art 5,000 square foot facility. Our practice is owned by licensed physical therapists, catering primarily to individuals with private medical insurance. With a focus on orthopedic outpatient services, our clinic is equipped with the latest technology and treatment methodologies to ensure our patients receive the highest standard of care.

Work Environment

Your work will be conducted onsite in our rehabilitation center, which is designed to facilitate effective therapy and recovery. You will be joining a collaborative team of two other physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA). Our environment emphasizes teamwork and communication, fostering a supportive atmosphere where you can thrive both personally and professionally. The standard work schedule for this position is Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a consistent and balanced work-life integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess patient needs, identifying specific goals and treatment requirements.
• Manage a patient caseload of one individual per hour, tailoring interventions to each patient's unique circumstances.
• Develop evidence-based treatment plans, utilizing a combination of therapeutic modalities to maximize patient outcomes.
• Implement manual therapy techniques and exercise protocols that promote improved range of motion and mobility.
• Encourage patients to adopt healthier lifestyles through wellness programs that enhance strength, flexibility, and coordination.
• Regularly assess treatment outcomes and adjust care plans based on patient progress, ensuring clear communication and documentation throughout.
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and optimize recovery strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic primarily serves patients with orthopedic injuries and conditions who are seeking rehabilitation to restore function and enhance mobility. Patients may include athletes recovering from sports injuries, individuals recuperating from surgeries, and those with chronic musculoskeletal issues. Your ability to connect with patients and motivate them throughout their recovery process is essential in fostering a supportive and encouraging therapeutic environment.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT), along with a valid California state license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• Maintain an integrity-filled professional record, free from any history of board or disciplinary actions against your license.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and experience in orthopedic outpatient settings is preferred.
• Effective communication skills to facilitate strong patient relationships and team collaboration.
• Proficient in electronic medical records systems, with specific experience in WebPT a significant advantage.

Preferred Experience

While the minimum requirement is a DPT degree, candidates with additional certifications in specialized areas such as sports rehabilitation, orthopedics, or manual therapy, and those with prior experience working in a fast-paced outpatient setting, will be strongly favored.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
