Capital Life Orthopedics is an advanced outpatient orthopedic practice located in the heart of Oakland, California. We are proud to operate within a state-of-the-art sports medicine facility that spans 5,000 square feet. Our team is comprised of highly skilled professionals, including two physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA), who are all committed to delivering exceptional rehabilitative care tailored to each patient. Catering primarily to individuals with private medical insurance, we maintain a patient-centered approach that focuses on client satisfaction and effective outcomes.

Work Environment

This position is onsite at our comprehensive home care facility, designed to foster supportive and collaborative rehabilitation. Your work schedule will be Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a consistent and structured week. In our practice, we prioritize teamwork and communication, ensuring that all staff members contribute to the overall success of patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and understand the individual goals and needs of each patient, tailoring your treatment strategies accordingly.
• Manage a patient load of one individual per hour, allowing for focused, quality care and thorough engagement with each client.
• Implement evidence-based practices and continually evaluate treatment efficacy to fine-tune interventions.
• Design and administer customized care plans that incorporate a variety of treatment techniques to address specific movement impairments.
• Develop and introduce fitness and wellness programs that align with the unique requirements of your patients.
• Motivate patients throughout their treatment plans, promoting a proactive approach to recovery and rehabilitation.
• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals, ensuring a comprehensive approach to patient care.
• Monitor patient progress meticulously, maintaining detailed records of services and outcomes to ensure optimal quality assurance.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Capital Life Orthopedics, your primary focus will be on a diverse range of patients recovering from musculoskeletal injuries, surgeries, and chronic conditions. Our clientele typically consists of individuals who possess private medical insurance, enabling them to access robust physical therapy services that prioritize non-surgical treatments and holistic approaches to enhance mobility.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• An active and unrestricted Physical Therapist license in California is mandatory.
• Applicants must have a clean license with no history of disciplinary actions or board actions.
• Exceptional manual therapy skills and proficiency in designing effective exercise programs are essential.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, is preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in orthopedic outpatient care is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to implement cost-effective treatments aimed at improving patient mobility is preferred.
• A track record of promoting healthy lifestyle choices among patients, enhancing their strength, flexibility, and balance, adds value to potential applicants.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 125,000 yearly, supplemented by a comprehensive benefits package.
