Orthopedic Physical Therapist - Full-Time Opportunity in Oakland, CA

Our center is renowned for offering a state-of-the-art healing environment designed specifically for sports medicine, encompassing over 5,000 square feet of advanced treatment space. We pride ourselves on maintaining a patient-centered approach, where we cater primarily to individuals with private medical insurance, ensuring that they receive tailored and effective care.

Work Environment

As a Physical Therapist at Fairview East, you will work in a collaborative and supportive environment alongside a team of two physical therapists and one Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA). Our center operates onsite, allowing for hands-on engagement with our patients. Your work schedule will be from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a balanced work-life routine while ensuring that you can dedicate quality time to your patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patient needs to create individualized treatment plans focused on recovery and rehabilitation.
• Manage a patient caseload efficiently, providing care to one patient per hour.
• Implement therapeutic interventions including exercises, manual therapy, and modalities designed to restore functional movement.
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and preventive care strategies to enhance mobility and prevent re-injury.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to deliver appropriate rehabilitative care, adjusting methodologies based on patient feedback and progress.
• Document treatment plans, patient interactions, and outcomes thoroughly in our electronic medical record (EMR) system, such as WebPT.
• Regularly collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate optimal patient care and referrals.
• Encourage and motivate patients to stay engaged in their rehabilitation process, helping them build confidence in their recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our center provides care primarily to patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, including but not limited to post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. Our diverse patient population includes active individuals seeking to return to their optimal level of function. By focusing on private medical insurance patients, we ensure a higher level of personalized care tailored to the specific needs of each individual.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• Current licensing as a Physical Therapist in the state of California without any disciplinary actions.
• In-depth knowledge of orthopedic rehabilitation and evidence-based treatment methodologies.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and collaborate with the healthcare team.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and a background in designing personalized exercise programs.
• Experience with EMR software, especially WebPT, or similar platforms, to document patient care efficiently.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position falls between USD 100,000 and 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
