We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team at Wellstar Physical Therapy Services, located in the vibrant city of Oakland, California. This full-time position is essential for providing high-quality care to our patients as they work towards regaining mobility and enhancing their quality of life. Work Environment

This position is office-based at our rehabilitation center in Oakland, CA, where you will engage with patients in a supportive and modern setting. The center features cutting-edge equipment and tailored treatment areas designed for enhancing the patient experience. Our approach emphasizes teamwork and collaboration; you will partner with fellow physical therapists and healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes, while maintaining a load of 1 patient per hour for focused, individualized care. The scheduled workweek is from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced professional and personal life.

Key Responsibilities

• Actively assess and understand the comprehensive goals and needs of each patient during initial evaluations.
• Develop and implement personalized care plans using evidence-based and innovative treatment techniques tailored to individual patient profiles.
• Utilize manual therapy skills and other modalities to improve patients' strength, flexibility, and mobility while minimizing reliance on medications.
• Provide consistent motivation and support throughout the patient's treatment journey to maximize their functional abilities.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals and communicate treatment progress clearly to all stakeholders.
• Document all patient interactions and progress in accordance with established protocols, utilizing electronic medical record (EMR) software such as WebPT efficiently.
• Participate in clinical discussions regarding patient care and proactive adjustments necessary for optimal outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clientele largely consists of individuals covered by private medical insurance who seek outpatient orthopedic care. Patients range from post-operative recovery cases to those who have sustained sports injuries or experience chronic pain. You will be instrumental in guiding these patients through their rehabilitation journey, promoting healthier lifestyles and improved functional capacities.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required for this position.
• Active licensure as a Physical Therapist in California with no disciplinary actions against the license.
• A strong foundation in manual therapy techniques and the ability to create effective exercise routines for diverse patient needs.
• Familiarity with EMR systems, particularly WebPT, with the ability to efficiently manage patient documentation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for fostering patient relationships.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working specifically in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• Proven competency in developing individual fitness and wellness programs that cater to a variety of client demographics.
• Experience with sports rehabilitation and training may provide a beneficial perspective in this role.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 110,000, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, paid time off, and retirement savings plans.
