Work Environment\n

This position is designed for a remote work setting, with the flexibility to conduct therapy sessions virtually or in our outpatient office in Waxahachie, Texas. We operate seven days a week, from 7 AM to 10 PM, offering various scheduling options that allow you to tailor your work hours to fit your lifestyle while effectively meeting patients’ needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

The successful Licensed Professional Counselor will undertake a range of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

• Conducting comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients’ trauma history, leading to informed treatment decisions and compassionate care.
\n
• Designing and implementing individualized treatment plans that emphasize trauma recovery, resilience-building, and patient empowerment.
\n
• Providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitating individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process trauma, develop effective coping strategies, and foster emotional healing.
\n
• Working collaboratively with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary professionals to ensure integrated and holistic care for patients.
\n
• Delivering crisis intervention and support for patients experiencing trauma-related emergencies, ensuring immediate assistance and safety.
\n
• Educating patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available resources to support ongoing care.
\n
• Maintaining accurate, confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
\n
• Engaging in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities centered around trauma-informed care.

• Staying abreast of the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to enhance clinical skills and patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Banyan Recovery, you will primarily work with individuals navigating a range of trauma histories, mental health issues, and resilience challenges. Our patient population includes adolescents and adults seeking support in overcoming their past experiences and building a path toward recovery. We prioritize inclusivity and a compassionate approach to care, ensuring that each patient's unique needs are met with dignity and respect.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas.

• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and treatment modalities.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ensuring compassionate interactions with clients.

• The ability to remain calm and composed during high-stress situations.
\n
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and various computer applications to manage patient documentation.

Preferred Experience\n
