Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial assessments to understand clients' mental health needs, and develop comprehensive treatment plans that align with their goals.

• Offer various evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused brief therapy, and others customized to individual client needs.

• Engage in regular appointments with clients—ensuring consistent care and the opportunity to track progress over the course of therapy.

• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists and social workers to create a holistic treatment plan for clients.

• Document all clinical notes accurately and in compliance with ethical standards, ensuring that client confidentiality and legal regulations are strictly adhered to.

• Pursue continuous professional development by staying updated on the latest in mental health research and advancements.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will be working primarily with adult clients facing a diverse range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. The diverse socioeconomic backgrounds of clients in the Reading area provide rich, varied experiences that can enhance your clinical skills and broaden your understanding of mental health issues.

Qualifications\n

• A minimum of a Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.

• An active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Pennsylvania.

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical counseling experience is expected, with a strong emphasis on outpatient practices.

• Demonstrable knowledge of ethical guidelines and legal considerations integral to the practice of counseling.
