Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite, as you will be providing therapy directly in patients' homes. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients in their home environments, identifying needs and establishing customized treatment plans.
• Utilize various therapeutic modalities, including hands-on techniques, exercise programs, and assistive devices, to address specific patient conditions.
• Monitor and document patient progress, modifying treatment plans as necessary to ensure the achievement of therapeutic goals.
• Educate patients, caregivers, and family members on their treatment plans and the effective use of assistive devices.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care and enhance treatment efficacy.
• Stay updated on professional knowledge by engaging in continuous education, including workshops and peer networking.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our diverse patient demographic includes individuals of all ages experiencing various conditions, such as post-surgical recovery, chronic pain, neurological disorders, and mobility impairments. As a Physical Therapist, your focus will be on enabling these patients to achieve their highest level of functional independence and improve their overall quality of life through tailored home-based therapy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy (Doctorate preferred)
• Current state license to practice physical therapy in Virginia
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective patient and team interaction
• Proficient in computer skills, including basic word processing and documentation systems
• Ability to adapt and respond flexibly to the changing needs of patients

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of experience in physical therapy is preferred, new graduates are welcome to apply as we offer mentorship and training for those just beginning their careers. Compensation and Benefits
