Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories and determine suitable treatment interventions.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that emphasize trauma recovery and resilience-building strategies.
\n
• Facilitate evidence-based therapies, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to assist clients in processing trauma effectively.

• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions focused on fostering a safe environment where clients can explore their emotions and develop healthy coping strategies.
\n
• Engage in close collaboration with psychiatrists and healthcare professionals to provide integrated, holistic care for each patient.
\n
• Offer crisis intervention and immediate support for clients experiencing trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Educate clients and their families regarding trauma responses, coping mechanism development, and available support resources.
\n
• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in accordance with ethical and legal guidelines to promote continuity of care.

• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development to enhance trauma-informed practices within our organization.

• Keep abreast of new research and developments in trauma therapy to ensure our methods remain cutting-edge and impactful.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clinic serves a diverse range of patients who have experienced various forms of trauma, including but not limited to childhood abuse, domestic violence, and traumatic life events. We emphasize a client-centered approach, recognizing the unique experiences of each individual and the importance of tailoring our interventions to address their specific needs.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.

• Experience and proficiency in trauma-informed care practices and approaches.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting focused on trauma recovery.

• Demonstrated expertise in conducting trauma-focused therapies and interventions, with a strong understanding of trauma-related disorders.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by empathy and a non-judgmental disposition.

• Ability to work cooperatively within a multidisciplinary team while managing a diverse client caseload.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems to maintain comprehensive patient records.

Compensation and Benefits\n
