Orthopedic Physical Therapist - Full-Time

Position Overview

Core Motion Orthopedic Therapy is seeking a dedicated Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Saint Petersburg, Florida. This full-time position involves working directly with patients to help them regain their mobility and improve their quality of life. As a pivotal member of our team, you will be responsible for developing personalized treatment plans and providing expert rehabilitation services in our advanced outpatient setting.

Core Motion Orthopedic Therapy is a progressive, private practice specialized in outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation. Our facility spans over 5,000 square feet, equipped with state-of-the-art sports medicine technology. We pride ourselves on our commitment to delivering the highest standards of care, effectively serving individuals primarily covered by private medical insurance. Our team currently consists of two seasoned physical therapists and a physical therapist assistant (PTA), all dedicated to providing exceptional patient care.

Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our comprehensive rehabilitation facility in vibrant Saint Petersburg, Florida. The normal hours of operation are Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, fostering a balanced work-life schedule. Our facility is designed to create a positive atmosphere for both patients and staff, using modern equipment and therapeutic interventions to maximize patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to determine their functional abilities and rehabilitation goals.
• Develop and execute individualized care plans that include various therapeutic techniques to enhance patients' physical abilities.
• Manage a patient caseload by scheduling and treating one patient per hour, ensuring focused and effective therapy sessions.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to provide treatment options that prioritize reducing the need for medications and pursuing alternative solutions to surgery.
• Incorporate manual therapy techniques and exercise protocols tailored to meet the specific needs of each patient.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, updating care plans as necessary to reflect evolving patient needs.
• Foster motivation in patients by setting realistic milestones and encouraging adherence to prescribed rehabilitation protocols.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
• Engage in continuous professional development and stay abreast of industry developments to enhance patient care efficacy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As part of our orthopedic physical therapy team, you will primarily work with patients recovering from musculoskeletal injuries, surgeries, and various orthopedic conditions. You'll have the opportunity to directly contribute to their rehabilitation journeys, helping to enhance their strength, flexibility, balance, and overall functional capabilities. Your expertise will not only guide recovery but will also empower patients to embrace a healthier lifestyle.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or higher (Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred).
• Current and valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida.
• Strong clinical skills with an emphasis on manual therapy and exercise prescription techniques.
• Proven professional integrity, maintaining a clean record with no disciplinary actions against your practice's license.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, to document patient care effectively.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is highly desirable.
• Ability to implement and modify therapeutic interventions based on individual patient progress.
• Competence in using rehabilitation equipment and modalities common in orthopedic physical therapy.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to USD 120,000, commensurate with experience and expertise.
