Work Environment

This role is situated onsite at our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center located in Union City, NJ. Working from Monday to Friday, you will collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations for each patient, reviewing pertinent medical histories, performing specific assessments, and documenting findings to create tailored treatment plans.
• Effectively communicate evaluation results and treatment plans to patients and their families, ensuring their involvement in goal setting and care processes.
• Implement treatment protocols based on initial evaluations, patient presentations, and the evolving healthcare landscape, utilizing evidence-based practices.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as necessary, documenting changes in patient conditions that may require adjustments to treatment plans or additional consultations.
• Manage discharge planning and provide follow-up care, ensuring accurate and timely documentation, including evaluation notes, progress summaries, and discharge evaluations to track patient progress.
• Demonstrate effective time management skills and meet productivity goals while maintaining a flexible schedule that accommodates patient needs.
• Engage in marketing activities aimed at enhancing the center's visibility and promoting accessibility to our services within the community.
• Contribute to the development of departmental objectives and compliance with regulatory standards, ensuring high-quality care aligned with accreditation requirements.
• Pursue continuing education opportunities to enhance professional skills and knowledge, serving as a mentor and clinical instructor for students when applicable.
• Foster a culture of excellent customer service, ensuring patient satisfaction through adaptability and responsiveness to their needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our rehabilitation center caters to a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgeries, injuries, chronic pain, and various musculoskeletal disorders. As a Physical Therapist at Better Living, you will focus on providing individualized care to patients of all ages, helping them achieve their rehabilitation goals and improve their overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• A valid Physical Therapy license in the state of New Jersey.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of relevant experience in a clinical setting is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience in outpatient physical therapy environments is a plus.
