Work Environment

This role is onsite at our outpatient clinic in Metuchen, where you will collaborate with a team of experienced healthcare professionals in a supportive environment. Our clinic fosters a patient-centered atmosphere, encouraging open communication and teamwork among staff. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver tailored physical therapy interventions to address the unique needs and goals of each patient.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments to develop individualized care plans that incorporate diverse treatment techniques.
• Manage a viable patient caseload, providing ample time and attention to ensure effective treatment.
• Employ evidence-based practices, including cost-effective therapies, to optimize patient mobility and quality of life.
• Encourage patients through their rehabilitation journey, fostering motivation and commitment to recovery.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
• Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) systems, specifically Web PT, for precise documentation and tracking of patient progress.
• Continuously evaluate treatment effectiveness, adjusting care plans as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
• Promote wellness by educating patients on lifestyle modifications that enhance strength, flexibility, balance, and overall fitness.
• Document all services delivered, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic serves a diverse range of patients, including individuals recovering from musculoskeletal injuries, post-operative patients, and those experiencing chronic pain. We emphasize a non-surgical approach to care, focusing on rehabilitation strategies that minimize reliance on medications while promoting natural healing and recovery.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is required; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• An active Physical Therapist license in New Jersey with a clean record, free from sanctions or board proceedings.
• Demonstrated expertise in various manual therapy techniques and a strong ability to devise and implement effective exercise programs.
• Proven proficiency in using EMR software, ideally Web PT, for documenting patient care activities.
• Comprehensive knowledge of current physical therapy practices supported by research, reflecting a commitment to professional growth.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting, particularly in orthopedic care, is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with sports rehabilitation and injury prevention strategies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive patient relationships and team interactions.
• Experience in developing group wellness and fitness programs tailored to specific patient demographics.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience.
