Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' histories and identify suitable therapeutic approaches tailored to their individual needs.

• Design and implement personalized treatment plans that focus on recovery from trauma and the development of resilience, applying methodologies such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, enabling patients to process their trauma, learn effective coping strategies, and promote healing in a supportive environment.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated, multidisciplinary care for patients, ensuring their holistic needs are met.

• Provide crisis intervention and support for clients experiencing trauma-related emergencies, equipped with the skills to handle high-pressure situations effectively.

• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and community resources, fostering a supportive network for recovery.

• Maintain accurate and confidential records, adhering to legal and ethical standards to ensure compliance and protect client information.

• Engage in regular professional development activities, including case consultations and team meetings, aimed at enhancing trauma-informed care strategies.

• Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to continually improve service delivery and patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work primarily with individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your expertise in trauma-informed therapies will be essential for helping these individuals navigate their emotional challenges, fostering their resilience and overall well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Maryland.
\n
• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, with a focus on trauma-related disorders and treatments.

• Demonstrated knowledge of trauma-informed practices, resilience-building approaches, and therapeutic interventions.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, with a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to client relationships.

• Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems, with strong technical skills for virtual therapy sessions.

• A collaborative mindset, enabling effective partnerships within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience with evidence-based trauma therapies, particularly EMDR and TF-CBT.

• A solid understanding of community resources and support networks available for trauma survivors.

• Prior experience in a remote work environment is beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The starting salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
