Work Environment

Working onsite at our hospital facility in Henrietta, NY, you will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary care team composed of cardiologists, fellow nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and administrative support staff. Key Responsibilities

As a Nurse Practitioner in our cardiology department, you will:

• Collaborate effectively with cardiologists to assess and manage patients in the outpatient setting.
• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including history-taking and physical examinations, to develop accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Administer outpatient-only electrophysiology services for patients with abnormal electrocardiograms, arrhythmias, and those requiring device management.
• Provide ongoing management for patients with chronic conditions such as hypertension, high cholesterol, coronary artery disease, and congestive heart failure.
• Perform and interpret stress testing as required, ensuring timely access to diagnostic information.
• Facilitate referrals to specialists within our practice, coordinating care for complex patient needs.
• Offer education and support to patients and their families, empowering them in their healthcare journey.
• Engage in continuous professional development, receiving mentorship and oversight from on-site cardiologists to enhance your clinical expertise.

You will primarily serve a diverse patient population experiencing various cardiovascular conditions. Qualifications

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in nursing with an active Nurse Practitioner license in the State of New York.
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program, and certification in an appropriate specialty area (preferably cardiology).

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
