Account Development Representative Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Account Development Representative to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Developing high quality pipeline for our sales teams via lead development and qualified sales opportunities;
- Build a trusting relationship with prospects and sales reps you support;
- Lead follow-up from marketing campaigns and events (MQLs);
- Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services by leveraging FireEye’s Command of the Message (sales methodology);
- Report to the Leader of Account Development on (weekly/monthly/quarterly) sales results;
- Customize value discussions with end users to increase customer interest;
- Outbound prospecting into white space accounts;
- Contact potential clients through cold calls, social media and emails (70+ touches per day minimum);
- Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) clients and sales reps;
- Present our company to potential clients in the very best way;
- Stay up-to-date with new products/services and new pricing/payment plans;
- Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market.
Requirements:
- Understanding of sales performance metrics;
- Experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce);
- Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques (including cold calls);
- Familiarity with MS Excel (analyzing spreadsheets and charts);
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently or in a team environment;
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and use good judgment in resolving difficult issues;
- Motivated by goal attainment and performance measurement;
- Client-oriented writing skills;
- Professional persistence & ability to “think on your feet” and make a compelling introduction. HUNTER mentality;
- Proficiency with the Internet, MS Office, Salesforce.com (or other CRM application) and marketing automation (preferably Marketo);
- Organizational skills and a results-oriented, self-starter attitude;
- Proven prior success in similar roles;
- Recent college graduates are also encouraged to apply;
- Strong phone and relationship building skills;
- Experience conducting business and building relationships in phone & email, with excellent phone, interpersonal, verbal & written capabilities.
