Work Environment

This position is based in North Fort Myers, where our Physical Therapists will work onsite, providing vital services within clients' homes. Key Responsibilities

Direct and implement individualized physical therapy interventions to prevent disability, relieve pain, and enhance mobility, all tailored to each client's unique needs.

Lead and oversee the performance of Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring adherence to the prescribed plan of care and appropriate delivery of therapy procedures.

Conduct thorough evaluations to assess each client's functional ability using diagnostic tests for muscles, nerves, and joints, facilitating accurate treatment planning.

Assess and recommend modifications to the home environment that will foster client independence and improve accessibility during rehabilitation.

Administer therapeutic exercises, motivational support, and hands-on interventions to enhance physical function and recovery.

Implement various physical therapy techniques, including traction and massage, ensuring that all treatments align with the latest evidence-based practices.

Evaluate and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices, collaborating closely with physicians to ensure optimal client outcomes.

Contribute to the evaluation and ongoing refinement of care plans through interdisciplinary team collaboration.

Maintain detailed clinical records and documentation, including initial assessments, care plans, and progress notes, ensuring compliance with relevant healthcare regulations.

Engage with clients and their families to instruct them on therapeutic exercises and the proper use of physical therapy devices, as well as their overall therapy regimen.

Complete functional assessments and update care plans as necessary, while actively being available for the Physical Therapy Assistant during their treatment sessions.

Adhere to organizational policies for timely submission of clinical and payroll documentation.

Commit to comprehensive case collaboration during interdisciplinary meetings to ensure unified patient care and outcome optimization.

Qualifications

A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution is required.

An active Physical Therapist license issued by the state of Florida.

No history of sanctions or board proceedings related to your license.

Exceptional skills in various manual therapy techniques and a proven ability to develop and implement successful exercise programs.

Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, to ensure accurate and efficient documentation.

Current knowledge of physical therapy methodologies that comply with the latest research.

Preferred Experience

Previous experience in a home healthcare setting is preferred.

Strong leadership capabilities to effectively guide and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants.

Experience collaborating within an interdisciplinary team to enhance patient care.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $120,000 annually, complemented by a robust benefits package.
