Healthy Mind and Wellness Counseling Clinic is seeking a dedicated and flexible Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team in providing exceptional therapeutic services. Work Environment\n

This role is primarily remote, allowing therapists to conduct sessions in a comfortable setting. While you will have the flexibility to manage your schedule, there will be a requirement to be available for therapy sessions during crucial after-school hours from 4 PM to 7 PM. We welcome candidates who can offer additional weekend sessions to better serve our youth population.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Facilitate individual in-home therapy sessions and group therapy sessions within our outpatient center tailored to the needs of each child and their family.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to teach anger management, coping strategies, and social skills. Address and mitigate high-risk behaviors, including self-injurious behaviors and physical aggression.
\n
• Work collaboratively with families to enhance decision-making capabilities, guiding them in addressing in-home behavioral challenges and fostering a supportive environment.
\n
• Engage actively with the Child Family Treatment Team and other professionals to ensure a cohesive approach in supporting youth and their families.
\n
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all therapeutic activities, including intakes, treatment plans, and progress notes.
\n
• Participate in monthly meetings, contributing valuable insights and recommendations to improve service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on children and adolescents aged 3 to 20 who are experiencing developmental and intellectual disabilities (I/DD). Utilizing a culturally sensitive approach, you will work with a diverse range of clients and their families, enabling you to make a significant impact on their quality of life.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a closely related field is required.

• Possession of an active and unrestricted LMFT license in California is mandatory.
\n
• Availability to commit to a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours, with the flexibility to extend hours on weekends preferred.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in providing positive behavior support strategies and developing individualized therapy plans.
\n
• Previous work with youth, especially children with intellectual and developmental disabilities, is highly valued.

• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle required for travel to client homes.
\n
• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is necessary.

Compensation and Benefits\n
