The Midwest Counseling Center is looking for a dedicated Full-time Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LPC, or LCSW) to join our dynamic team. Work Environment\n

This remote role allows for a flexible work schedule, with standard hours from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, accommodating the diverse needs of our patients. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, culturally sensitive mental health assessments to evaluate patients' needs and develop tailored treatment plans that incorporate cultural considerations.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions to facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, addressing a range of psychological and emotional issues.

• Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other health professionals to ensure the delivery of coordinated, comprehensive care for our patients.

• Provide crisis intervention during mental health emergencies, employing your skills to assess risk and implement safety plans as necessary.

• Engage in patient and family education by informing them about various mental health conditions, treatment options, and available community resources.

• Maintain comprehensive and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, which is crucial for effective case management.

• Participate proactively in case conferences and team meetings to discuss treatment approaches and patient progress, while staying updated on relevant cultural competency practices and advancements in mental health.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Texas.

• Demonstrable understanding of mental health disorders, therapeutic approaches, and the principles of cultural competence in clinical settings.

• Experience in providing individual and group therapy, utilizing culturally responsive methods to address the unique needs of your clients.

• Strong crisis intervention skills with the ability to manage high-pressure situations effectively.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, fostering trust and rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and essential computer applications for documentation and reporting purposes.

• A solid commitment to professional ethics, confidentiality, and maintaining healthy boundaries in a clinical setting.

Compensation and Benefits\n
