Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews to establish client needs and document case information from the onset to the conclusion of treatment.

• Evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health to design personalized treatment paths.
\n
• Develop effective intervention and recovery strategies for individuals, couples, families, and groups, often utilizing evidence-based methodologies.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing various therapeutic techniques to foster client engagement and healing.
\n
• Regularly monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on client feedback and clinical insight.
\n
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team consisting of psychiatrists, medical professionals, and social workers to create cohesive intervention plans.
\n
• Provide follow-up support for clients, ensuring continuity of care, especially for those who have been hospitalized.
\n
• Identify behaviors that may hinder recovery and devise preventive measures to support client progress.
\n
• Offer guidance and support to family members and primary caregivers, helping them to navigate mental health challenges and enhance their involvement in the healing process.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clients come from a variety of backgrounds, each with unique challenges and needs. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will work with individuals experiencing a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction. Your role will be pivotal in providing support to families and young adults, making a direct impact on their mental health and daily functioning.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Texas.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to connect with clients effectively.
\n
• Strong interpersonal skills, exhibiting empathy and compassion in all interactions with clients and colleagues.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience as a mental health counselor or similar role in a community health setting.
\n
• Proficiency in electronic health record systems, with experience using AVATAR or similar software.
\n
• Understanding of the relationship between mental health and primary physical health conditions, including addiction disorders.
\n
• Familiarity with the best practices established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• Knowledge of pharmacology, particularly the effects of medications prescribed to clients.
\n

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, newly hired counselors are eligible for a sign-on bonus. Benefits include:
