Licensed Physical Therapist for Outpatient Rehabilitation Facility

Position Overview

In this role, you will be vital to helping our patients, primarily those facing orthopedic challenges, recover and regain their independence through tailored rehabilitation practices. As a key member of our onsite rehabilitation facility, you will work closely with patients to deliver personalized care and support, ensuring they achieve optimal functional outcomes.

Work Environment

Located in the scenic area of Park Ridge, NJ, our rehabilitation facility offers a collaborative and supportive work environment designed to empower our staff. You will work Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a work-life balance that enhances your professional and personal well-being. Our onsite facility is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and rehabilitation tools, allowing you to implement a variety of innovative treatment methods effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical conditions to determine personalized treatment plans.
• Implement individualized therapy interventions, utilizing manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and advanced equipment.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment processes, self-management strategies, and safe exercise practices.
• Regularly assess and document patient progress in our electronic medical record (EMR) system, adapting care strategies as needed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including physicians and occupational therapists, to coordinate comprehensive patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our facility primarily treats patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. We emphasize a holistic approach to rehabilitation, ensuring that every patient receives care tailored to their unique recovery journey. As a Physical Therapist, you will play a pivotal role in guiding patients through their rehabilitation, helping them overcome obstacles, and restoring their functional capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current and active Physical Therapist license in the state of New Jersey.
• A minimum of two years of experience working in a clinical setting, preferably in outpatient or orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Strong competency in manual therapy techniques and familiarity with EMR systems, particularly WebPT.
• A clean record with no disciplinary actions from relevant licensing boards.

Preferred Experience

While a Bachelor's degree is required, candidates with a Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy are highly encouraged to apply. Experience across a variety of patient populations and conditions will be considered an asset. Proficiency in implementing evidence-based practices and the ability to work efficiently within a busy clinical setting will enhance your fit for this position.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is competitive, with annual earnings between $100,000 and $120,000, contingent upon experience and qualifications.
