This role requires working onsite at our Rehabilitation Center, located in the heart of Winchester, VA. Key Responsibilities

• Direct physical therapy treatments aimed at preventing disability, alleviating pain, and restoring muscle function in accordance with individualized care plans.
• Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure effective implementation of the therapy regimen.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients' physical capabilities utilizing diagnostic tests that assess muscle, nerve, and joint functions.
• Assess the client's home environment for potential modifications to enhance their independence and Functional capacity.
• Deliver physical therapy interventions as prescribed by physicians, including administering therapeutic exercises and utilizing various treatment modalities such as traction and massage.
• Maintain accurate clinical records, including initial evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards like OASIS.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to collaboratively assess and plan tailored treatment strategies for each client, effectively contributing to their holistic care.
• Provide education and training for clients and families regarding physical therapy techniques and the proper use of related equipment.
• Complete timely documentation and reports in adherence to company policies, including contributing to clinical audits.
• Adapt any prescribed orthotic or prosthetic devices in consultation with attending physicians.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required, along with a valid PT license in the State of Virginia.

• Strong communication skills for engaging effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience
