Work Environment

This full-time position is based onsite at our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center in Chantilly, where our physical therapists work closely in a collaborative environment with a team of skilled professionals. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial and ongoing physical therapy evaluations in line with established best practices and state standards.
• Assess patients' mobility, strength, and function levels; set measurable and achievable rehabilitation goals to guide their recovery journey.
• Create individualized Treatment Plans based on evaluation results, collaborating with other healthcare professionals and incorporating patient and caregiver input as needed.
• Implement treatment plans consistently while continuously monitoring patient progress and making necessary adjustments to enhance efficacy.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress, adhering to medical and facility documentation protocols.
• Engage in ongoing professional development by participating in educational workshops and reviewing relevant literature to stay abreast of advancements in physical therapy.
• Collaborate with colleagues and assist in maintaining a neat and organized rehabilitation environment for optimal patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at PT Plus, you will work with a diverse range of patients, from those recovering from orthopedic surgeries to individuals with chronic pain issues or sports injuries. You will cater to various age groups, tailoring treatment strategies to meet the unique needs and capabilities of each patient, emphasizing both immediate rehabilitation objectives and long-term health goals.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required.
• A current, active Physical Therapy license for the state of Virginia.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, including AED training.
• Demonstrated empathy and a strong commitment to patient recovery, with the ability to motivate patients while maintaining a safe and supportive environment.
• Proficient knowledge of physical therapy equipment, best practices for its use, and understanding preventative maintenance protocols.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of clinical experience in a physical therapy setting, with a focus on orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Experience in treating a wide range of conditions, including post-operative rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal disorders.

Compensation and Benefits
